Since the year 2014, the South Cement Group has shut down all cement plants with annual production less than one million tons. In the next 3 to 5 years, it plans to continue the elimination of the cement plants that own annual production capacity to one million tons of standard cement but of low standard PC 32.5 and also relatively backward technology, instead the Group is now stick on the comprehensive development to be of large production capacity, energy conservation and intelligentized technology. That is, to be the modernized cement plants with the dry process production lines that can provide annual production capacity of more than 2 million tons, comprehensive energy consumption of comparable clinker less than 100kg/t, and intelligentized production operation.
